given the month a lot of people plan vacations, etc...
so i'm thinking about sending my invites out earlier... but how much earlier should i do it? you think April is a good time??

april might be a little early. i got married columbus day weekend, not a big holiday, but still. i sent mine about 2 1/2 months earlier, end of july and made the response date about 2 weeks earlier also. maybe send them out in mid to late may.

I would say 10 weeks before your RSVP date would be reasonable.
Did you do a save the date? If not maybe you can ask a few key family members to spread the word of the date so people have a heads up?

Our wedding was August 1, and we sent our invitations out the last week in May.

i think its really early to do that. Just know when you send it out sooo early, most guests wont respond right away since they will feel they have all the time in the world. SO if you dont mind responses coming in at a very slow pace then go for it but i would wait until May at least.

I am sending mine out the end of next month and mine is in July. I have to do this because our hotel needs to be booked by the end of April or they release the rooms. I figured I quicklywould give them 3-4 weeks to book the hotel room if they want. I do not feel like sending a separate thing about the hotel without people first getting an invite. I also feel that it is a waste of money on postage. My std were given out at the eparty so I couldnt include it in that.
I think as long as you dont expect to get all RSVPs back quickly it is fine. I am doing the same thing.

im the day after you and i wasnt going to send them out until end of may/beg of june... april is wayyy too early IMO... thats like when my shower invites are going out

I've heard that 2 and a 1/2 months is the best. and set the RSVP date for a month prior. i think that gives plenty of time.
i don't know what that stamp looks like...sorry :o) i haven't even gotten to that point yet!
