I had two people suggest to me today that I should send out my invites in mid-March instead of the mid-April date I was planning on since it is an early July wedding. The RSVPs say June 27th, though, since the RH suggested that we put two weeks before the wedding as the final RSVP date.
Should I send them out in a month and a half in order to 'lock in' my guests? I know it's the summer, and people like to go away, so knowing this will help them plan.
July brides, when are you sending out your invites?

I think April or May... it is summer but I don't think they need to be in March..

I think the etiquette rule is 8 weeks before the date.

My wedding is July 18th and I am hoping to have mine out the beginning of April. That is what my RH told me.
I guess it is better to send them too early then too late.

We're planning to send ours out the first week in May for a July 11th wedding. Like someone mentioned, invites typically go out 2 months before the wedding date. Maybe we'll send them out the last week in April but not any earlier. I think if you send them too early, people may lose the invite and sort of forget about the event. Also, we have very few guests that we aren't in constant contact with.

I would send them out in April! It may be a little early but some of your guests might have to make adjustments to their schedules. Don't know if you sent out STDs but ppl need to be reminded-- EARLY! Good luck.

we did march because we know our family, and this way we could do the 'b' list by May :)
