When to send out STDS?

Is there a certain time when your STDS should go out?

But is there a certain time frame? Im not getting married till 10/7/06 and we are having an e-party this August...Do I send them before the E-part or after?

I would prpbably send them out in Sep/Oct. I really don't know if there is a time frame. sorry

I'm only sending them to out of towners 6 months before the wedding with hotel info.

I can't help but laugh whenever I see a post about STDs - I always have to pause and remember what it stands for on this website...

I would prob send them in the New Year (Jan 06). They will all know about it by talking at your E party but most people prob dont even have calenders for 2006 yet. They will prob lose the thing if they are supposed to hang onto it for 6 months before they pencil it in.

JMO, if your wedding isnt until October, I wouldnt worry about rushing them out until 2006.

I'm probably going to just send them to the out of towners only...

I am sending mine out like 10 months before for out-of-towners and for everyone else like 8 months before.

Me three!! The first post I ever saw about STDs was called something like, 'Post pictures of your STDs!' I was a little hesitant to open the post, as I'm sure you can understand...

In all seriousness, though, I just read somewhere today that Save the Dates should go out 6-12 months before the date of the wedding. I'm doing mine ASAP because my wedding is during a popular vacation time.
