When to send out wedding invitations

Hi Ladies,

I would love your advice on this issue... when should I send out my wedding invitations and have the RSVP date due?

My wedding is Memorial Day weekend 2011 - May 29, 2011.

The hotel room block needs to be booked a month before (so latest guests can book it is April 29).

Any thoughts on when I should send them out/ have them due by?

Make sure you send out save the dates if you haven't already since its a holiday weekend. I would send out:

March 1 send out
May 1 Rsvp.

The last time I got an invitation with a hotel block, I received the hotel card a month or two before the actual invitation. I don't have it anymore but it said something like this: Space is filling up fast, please be sure to book your room at the X hotel before (date) to ensure you have a room to stay in after A & B's wedding on (date). If you have any questions, call soandso.
