Re: When to send RD invites
I sent mine like 2-3 weeks before. We were only inviting the ppl in the bridal party, the readers and their families. But I kinda gave a verbal heads-up to those I saw ahead of time.

Re: When to send RD invites
I mailed mine 2 weeks before but its only BP & immediate family going and they already knew the 'when' and just needed to know the 'where'

Re: When to send RD invites
We are sending them out about 2-3 weeks before, but we sent the bridal party an update recently and told them the date so that they could take off from work if they needed to or what not.

We are going to send ours in September, probably 3 weeks before or so.

Re: When to send RD invites
I think one month is fine. My MIL sent them out right after I sent out the invites (about 8 weeks before) and it was too soon. I think people forgot about it...she hardly got any responses. We had to call people at the last minute to see if they were coming or not.

Re: When to send RD invites
the place i'm holding the dinner needs our final count 2 weeks in advance...so I'm having a 9/1 rsvp date (RD is 9/18) and mailing the invitations 8/1

Re: When to send RD invites
The only people coming to ours are immediate family - FH and I, our parents, FH's 4 grandparents, my sister and her hubby and their daughter, and FH's brother, possibly another if he has a date. So I am wondering if we even need to send invites??? I would just buy some at a stationary store if I did send them ... and I would send them Oct 4 probably, 3 weeks in advance ... everyone is coming though so I don't need to worry about rsvps.

I don't think they are really necessary. I plan on doing them, but you don't have to. Most people know about it anyway

Why not just get little invitations at Hallmark or something?
