How far in advance do you think we should send our STD's ? Our date is the friday of memorial day weekend (5/28/04) so i know we still have some time but I'm trying to fill in my planner with reminders in the upcoming months. should we provide info about the hotel adjoining our reception site with the STD magnets or our webpage address?
Well, my wedding is 2-7-04 and I am planning on sending them out in June or beginning of July with the hotel info.
I sent mine out last month and I'm not getting married untill June 04! u can send them when ever!!
I just sent out my STD cards today... our wedding is January 9th 2004. I have a lot of out-of-towners coming in from all over Europe though, but I think b/c of the time of year it may be prudent to let people know early!

Is that memorial day weekend next year? If so I would send them out about 8 months in advance (before all the holiday mail). Otherwise would send them with holiday cards.

we sent ours out at Xmas time for our 10/25 wedding. since your wedding is on a major holiday weekend, i would send them out sooner, rather than later. if you do a magnet people just put them on their refrig, so if they get them early, no biggie.
I send my STDs in Nov (10 months before wedding), then in March I mailed info packets with a LI Winery magazine and hotel info on a newsletter I wrote. I will mail my invitations on July 20.
I'm getting married the same weekend as you...except mine is 5/30/04. We are also sending save-the-date magnets, which we will send in June or July when we send out our engagement party invitations.
