When to Send Save the Dates

Hi Girls!

I just booked Timberpoint Country Club for August 31 2008 (I know - a lifetime away). THANK YOU to everyone on the Boards for their comments about TCC - LIW is by far the best way to find out about potential problems and sort them out BEFORE you sign a contract. :) Anyway my question is when to send Save the Dates. The problem is that my fiancee AND his family live in Seattle.....when can send out Save the Dates without looking ridiculous?

I would say send them in your 07 holiday cards! I just sent mine out.

i'd say about one year to 8 months before the wedding date....

I'd say December 2007 would be perfect. You could send them out with your holiday cards.

That is what I did for my May wedding. i sent them in Dec 2006 for a May 2007 wedding.

i would say no less than a year away. Especially if a lot of the family needs to book plane tickets and such, they will need time to plan and save money

Don't worry I feel like mine is a lifetime away. I got engaged early this year too! A lot of people I found out forgot! I can't be mad if they've met FH it was three times! Anyway, I'll be sending them out with '07 Holiday Cards or early '08.
