When to send STDS

when is a good time frame to send save the date cards, when did you send yours?

i had all intentions of sending them this past week for the 1 year mark, but my parents are slackin in the address field for some people..hopefully early this week

i was thinking of giving to immediate fam who i see all the time now, and sending the rest out with christmas cards, cause i always put something in them-- usually and updated picture-- so it would be nice and 11 months before.

I gave mine out to the BP and close family already. Everyone else will get them in August.

make sure you send a list of local hotels or especially a hotel where you think you'll be blocking rooms at in the save the dates for people out of town

That is a great idea. Hoping to send mine at the 1 year mark and give them as favors to those who attend the e-party next weekend. If they are here in time.

I just sent my save the dates this past week.... I don't have all of the addresses yet. I am missing about 15 but I wanted to send them out. I am waiting for FH's friends and some family. He is slacking!

I kind of didn't follow the 'rules' with my STD's....I sent them right before our e-party which was Aug. 07...... we have been together for 12 years so we didn't want to keep answering the question...'whats the date..' so we just sent them then.
