when to start nagging BMs for dresses

I have approx 3 mos to W-day and only 3 out of 7 have their dresses picked out. When shuld I start getting on their @$$e$ ?

now!!! hahahah.

Even if they protest, you should get on the 4 BMS now. Volunteer to have like a Saturday get together where everyone gets their dresses together. Have they even ordered their dresses yet? It takes about 2 - 3 weeks for the dresses to get in plus alternations so they needed to be on this now :)

I was one of those slacker bridesmaid. My friend was on me for a while (although I will admit, she wanted us to order our dresses 6 months in advance). But as a bridesmaid, it is your job to get your dress ASAP. If your BM loves you, they wont mind and they will take your nagging as a reminder how they need to get their dresses! Good Luck!

My wedding is in October and I ordered BM dresses around early June...even though I was aiming for May. I kept changing my mind because not all my BM's looked good in the dresses I was choosing and I couldn't have them all try it on because some are out of state. I'm glad I did it early because I couldn't imagine having to deal with that headache at this point. It was honestly the most stressful ordeal of the whole planning process!

Now if they are picking out their own dresses and have the option of purchasing something off the rack, I'd still put the fire under their butts now, but don't stress about it because you have time. But if you're ordering from a bridal salon, do it as early as possible. We just ordered my moms dress today and it won't be in until the first week in October!!

If you have to have the ordered you might have a problem. Macys told me it takes 3-4 months to get dresses in, Make them go asap!

DEFINITELY ASAP. I'm in a wedding in October and our gowns just came in - we ordered them from Here Comes the Bridesmaid in JANUARY and they just came in now. I have to pick mine up in a week and then bring it elsewhere to get altered b/c they don't do alterations at that shop.

Start ASAP. I'm an October bride too and I asked all of my BM's to order by May. So far all have ordered and all of them have there dresses except for two

They should definitely be ordered by now. There is no excuse. You officially have reason to be stern with them!

I knew it! Ihave been asking them since May!
and my MOH ignores all texts that have to do with the dress...but let me throw a party and all of a sudden she appears!

ETA: Where are you ordering from? A regular bridal salon can take up to 3 months. You should be just fine with a place like David's Bridal though.

um... 2 months ago!
my girls HAD to order their dress by june 22... they all went on their own... i think a few are in already, but they couldn't get alterations done till late august-early september... and i had one that decided to wait until after june 22 (like 2 weeks after) and her dress wont be in until 3 weeks before the wedding... AND she's going to need alterations.

light a fire under their arses!

db told me that they discontinue dresses and colors a lot and thats why i had that date... tell your girls something like that.
they have to be ordered by july 31 because they run the risk of being discontinued..

Ok I just sent them all a text giving them till the 31st.
We're ordering from DB. All except for MOH...she has it in her mind she wants her dress from somewhere else.

Yikes! Did you check witht he bridal salon if they can even get the dresses in? Some desiginers might charge you a rush fee because of how close it is to the wedding! Typically bridesmaids should order 5-6 months ahead of time! I hope it works out!
