Last night I went to David's Bridal with one of my BM to see what was left of the $99 sale and to try on dresses. I had made a list of the dresses I wanted to try on and gave it to the attendant who was helping us. we were there for about 2 hours. Afterwards we thanked her for all her help, but as we left (empty handed) i couldn't help but wonder if i was supposed to tip her for helping us. What have you all done?

Re: when trying on dresses do you tip???
i'm not sure about the etiquette on that one, but i didn't tip when trying on dresses..i didn't feel it was necessary since the people didn't really go above and beyond to help me, but that was just my experience. I've never heard of people tipping for that, though.

no way. when you go to a retail store and buy clothes, do you tip the person who helped you? i think it would be weird to actually tip them...

Re: when trying on dresses do you tip???
I just bought my dress Friday. And no, tipping is not required but if you decide to go back and buy a dress you tried on, ask specifically for the person that helped you find it because they will receive commission. Don't let them miss out on that.

Re: when trying on dresses do you tip???
I used to be a work at a bridal shop and I would maybe get 2-3 tips a week... Not many people tip so I don't think it's a must... I would, just because I was in that business, but I sold myslef my gown so there was no need too!
