what do you think of someone who sticks their nose in on what they want and what works best for them when they aren't willing to cough up a dime or help with any planning?

It is a member of my friend's family.They haven't offered to do squat or contribute anything but yet they want to run the show. Its upsetting me because they are going to ruin my friend's happy day. Everyone else is easy going and this one wants to be in charge & yet has no plans on doing anything on her own.

You definitely need to tell her that you appreciate her input but you have your own ideas. If she would like to contribute some $$$ then great, otherwise, you dont need any help.
You are stressed enough without this persons 'help'

That is the person that you need to 'yes' to death and then go about doing things your own way. I would straight out tell the person that if they want things done a certain way, they need to put up some cash. I'm sure you don't want to offend anyone, but the person imposing their will on you isn't being nice or considerate at all! (I've already told my mother and my FIL's that the only way to get any input on my wedding is to give me some $$$ - but I said it nicer than that )

I have to be careful what I say because my friend may be lurking on these boards. I am just getting very stressed out because this person wants to approve everything anyone wants to do and meanwhile she has offered to help with nothing! It makes me think she is being very selfish.
