when was/is RD - poll

we are trying to figure out when to have it. with everyones schedules, we might need to do it the night before, but my mom said i should be having it the week before... I have never attended a RD the week before... anyone have any opinions/advice?! it'd eb greatly appreciated!
PS - MOH is OOT

Our wedding was on a Sunday. Our RD was on the Thursday before. Thursdays are DH's day off so it worked out better for us.

Ours was the week before because that's when the church did our rehearsal. It was actually great, that way we didn't have to worry about the wedding the very next day.

Most of our Groomsmen are coming from OOT so we thought it would be rude to have it 2 nights before because then they would have to take off from work too many days. It would be much less stressful though, to have it 2 nights before.

4 out of my 5 BMs including my MOH are out of state, we are doing it the night before that way everyone will already be there, but won't have to travel too much earlier than needed!

My best friend had hers 2 weeks before... not sure why but it was great. Loved having some time in between.

We are personally doing our RD 2 nights before the wedding because I want to be able to completely relax the day before.

My SIL had hers a week before bc that is the date the church gave her but she said it was GREAT! A week before everyone got together and hung out. Also, my SIL told me she was able to get hair and everything done that day and she didn't feel like she lost last minute details since she still had a full week.

I had mine 2 days before and I felt like I did loss a day but I got my nails done that day and hung out with my cousin (she was in from out of town) for the day with nails, toes, and a blow out. It was nice to have a beauty day and my nails and toes were fresh for the RD.

I REFUSED to do it the night before only because the night before I didn't want to see DH AND I REFUSED to leave the house and hung out in my PJs and hung out with my girls.

If you are getting married in a church you might have to speak to them. They might not have availabe the date that you want to do the Rehearsal.

We had ours the night before the wedding, but I really wanted to have it 2-3 days before the wedding. I had to wait for the OOT BM's, GM's, FG's and IL's to arrive.

thanks for the input girls. with OOT people and everyones schedulex, it might have to be the night before.

the church is open to whenever I choose to do it, so that wont be an issue for me. (PHEW!)

but i would rather have it at least 2 days beforehand... I just dont want to really inconvenience anyone

i'm having mine the week before.

my church only offers rehearsals on thursdays and fridays and we're getting married on friday. i didn't want to do the rehearsal the day before so we opted to do the rehearsal the friday night (a whole week) before the wedding.

i think it will work out for the best because most of our OOT guests wont be there yet so it wont cost FIL's an arm and a leg to serve the BP dinner.

I like having mine the night before. I was a nervous wreck leading up to the wedding but I just told myself over and over that all i had to do was get to the RD and let it go from there... And that's exactly what I did! DH was not so happy because he wanted to have dinner and a few drinks with his boys the night before. Oh well! That's what your bach party was for!

i would love to have mine the night before but my church can only do the rehearsal on a thursday...so i was thinking of having it then afterwards....

I'm having mine 2 days before b/c I didn't want it the night before. I thought about the week before but FH family is all from upstate and I dont want them to have to come down, go back up and then come back down again before the wedding so we thought Thursday was better.

We are doing ours the day before (which is a Thursday). My FH's family are all OOT including FMIL adn FFIL. Therefore we really didn't have a choice.

We're doing 2 days before ... The last thing I want to be is stressed out and be home late the night before the wedding. I want to be able to enjoy myself! So Thursday for our Saturday wedding
