I am sending them about 8 weeks ahead of time (since its a Thursday wedding)...I was thinking of doing a RSVP thats 5 weeks ahead. Is anyone else doing this? I know the normal is about 4 weeks

I'm probably doing 5 weeks before because I know a lot of people will be late and I'll really get them more like 4 weeks before anyway.

I think an extra week to make it 5 is not a big deal at all...a lot of people do 6 weeks incase they need to start the B list!

I did exactly one month prior to the wedding date, so May 25. I think we'll send them out in early April.

mine is about 6 weeks. i mainly did that because i know fh's family is late with EVERYTHING (we have received a bunch of rsvp's ... not one from fh's family!) so we know we're going to have to call everybody probably because no one is going to send rsvps in.

our wedding is 1/17/10, the RSVP is 12/1/09. This is about 6 weeks before, but we didnt want RSVPs to get lost in the holiday shuffle.
Plus it gives time for B list to go out

sending ours out 8 weeks, rsvp is 5 weeks although i kinda wanna make it 6 weeks but may 1st sounds nice haha
