When writing a 'Thank you' for a gift received....

Do you sign just your name or yours and FH? We received a gift off of our registry via mail and I am sending out a Thank You and am assuming I sign for both of us? Especially since I never met these people before. Lol

Yup! I always sign both our names, even if it's just me writing it. It's assumed the gift is for both of you. I think it maybe a little different for a shower. For the shower, it's a party for you, even though the gifts are for both of you. Our thank you cards have both our first names on the front, so it's assumed it's from both of us. I'll still use them for the shower though. I may write something for shower gifts like 'Thank you for coming to my shower and for the gift to start our new home. FH's name and I are so happy to have such supportive friends like you. I really appreciate the (gift name here) and can't wait to use it. Love, my name'.

If a gift was sent to both of you off your registry prior to a shower I would put both names. For the shower, I only signed both names if the card was addressed to both of us, otherwise I just signed my name.
