Do you explain who you are and when you are getting married or do you just tell them your name and hope they remember you??
I find myself giving a ton of info to the people I booked with only to find out they know who I am.

I usually say when I call them ... my name and wedding date. With the amount of brides the vendors deal with I don't expect them to remember me right off the bat. If they sounded clueless when they look at my file then I'd start to worry, but all my vendors are working out wonderfully so far : ).

So funny you should mention this.
I call my reception hall all the time...the banquet manager and I are on a first name basis. Last night my FH called him and figured he'd get the same treatment but he didn't. He was very nice to him, but he did ask him for the wedding date. My FH was insulted.
What you have to remember is that these people deal with and speak to so many people everyday. I used to always say my whole name and my wedding date when I called...eventually this is not necessary.
