When you first go to try dresses on...
Re: When you first go to try dresses on...
I actually didn't say anything about being ready to buy (I had no intention of buying anything that day). After I tried a bunch of dresses on, I merely told the consultant that I wasn't ready to make a decision and that I wanted some time to think about it. But I did take her business card.

I just told them this was the first few dressees I have tried on. They should be used to people coming in and trying them on, but of course, they do want you to buy from them.

I didn't feel pressured at all. Most places know that a bride generally looks around quite a bit before making a selection. You'll be fine as long as you don't let them fool you with the 'if you don't order now...' I did have that experience at one, very well known, place.

I didn't tell them weather I was going to buy or not, but they did write down all of the style numbers in case I wanted to come back. Even when I found 'the one' I didn't buy it that day, I wanted to show it to my mom and some friends first, then I went back a few days later to buy it.
