When you first got married and were NOT TTC yet..........

did you find you and Dh being a little less 'careful' anyway?

Even tho' we are not set to TTC till next year, I think we're both not as 'careful' as before.
Maybe it's a feeling of security.

Any thoughts on this ladies? (Sorry if too personal)

Yes- definitely not as careful as we were before we got married. We were the same as you- weren't 'trying' for a year, but not worrying about it as much either!

I totally agree with you Liz!!! We are not so careful anymore. I think your right by saying you feel a sense of security. If it happens with us, it's ok, but we (HE)really wants to wait a year. I want to be pg now!!!

I am on a pill, so there is no such thing as being more or less careful! You eather take your pills or you don't! We will not be TTC till 2004!

I was on the pill, but I was still terrified of getting pregnant. I just was so NOT ready.

I am on the pill too, but all of a sudden, I find myself not taking it on time, or not even till the next day

And I've only been married 2 weeks

I was never so careless. And Len doesnt seem to care that I'm messing up at all

I know what you mean - we're less careful now, but still careful If anything were to happen at least we're married now

Liz, when Roger saw the patch when I first tried it, he was a bit disappointed, b/c he was ready to start yesterday Yes he wanted to live on the risky side of life When the patch did not work for me I went on the pill and he was like what you taking those for I know the feeling tho'

I guess I am the exception, I love having him all to myself and want to wait on the babies. We are still as careful now as we were as teens.

I am not married yet, 8 months to go (almost), but FH and I were talking about this the other day, I guess I have to say it is a sense of security, but if he had his way it would happen right after we are married, and I would be very excited about having a baby. But Iam sure we are going to be like the other girls on this thread, if it hapoens, it happens, we will be married.

Lizlen, I can totally relate to your not taking the pill as carefully anymore. I do the same thing sometimes forgetting till the next evening. I actually forgot again today and am taking it now. DH and I definately have a sense of security about it. We are definately not TTC right now, but if it did happen we would be ok since we are married. My huge worry was an accidental pregnancy before marriage...the Irish Catholic parents would have not been happy!

I just got AF this week.....but it was a little late and I was TERRIFIED! I have 3 months to go til the wedding. I can't wait til September so we can relax a little...if it happens, it happens!

I kept thinking, OK I can probably hide it for the wedding if i am pg, but then I will tell my parents and they are not dumb! They'll figure out the conception timing LOL

Thanks so much Ladies, I love the responses.
As it is, today I was suppossed to start a new pack, but I forgot to call in the refill, so I will have to take 2 pills tomorrow.
There goes that sense of security again

Girl me too. I have to go and pick up my pills at lunch today and take two. I was suppose to start yesterday. I don't know why I am being risky though I really don't want any babies.
