When do you cry? Watching the Bride & Groom on their first dance? Watching the Bride & her dad dance? Any other times..?

Re: When you go to weddings........
I’m not a cryer either. Although when my best friend got married, the groom’s brother and sisters did a little welcome to the family speech for my best friend, and then they reminisced about their father that had passed away, and I got a little choked up because everyone started crying.

I cry with the vows at church & with the father/daughter, mother/son dances b/c i know it may sound sappy but I think it symbolizes a rite of passage, kind of like --thats it --you're all grown up & married!--not a child anymore...

Usually during the vows if bride and groom actually sound like they mean them. Sometimes it sounds like they are just reciting them without any feeling though.

Re: When you go to weddings........
I cry when the bride walks down the aisle and depending on how well I know them when they say their vows. A few years ago I was a BM and they wrote their own vows. I helped the bride write hers and I still cried like a baby. My FI of course noticed this and took pictures. Isn't he sweet?

Re: When you go to weddings........
Since I have been to so few weddings the only experience I really have was watching TLC, I cry when they say their own vows and when either party is crying.

When I watch weddings on TV, I get chocked up. When I'm at a live wedding, I don't cry at all. I'm too busy thinking about cocktail hour!

I'm usually crying once the vows start. I am afraid I will do the same during mine.

I cried at a wedding once ~ because I knew the bride was having an affair!

Omigod, JennRenee! Was the affair going on right around the time of her wedding? What happened to her marriage? IMO, that's gross!

Re: When you go to weddings........
The affair began about 6 weeks before the wedding, and ran for about 6 months after. The couple is still married, and it's been a few years and a few kids since the affair. What the bride does in her spare time now is unknown to be, AND I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Re: When you go to weddings........
I have to say when me and the fh are sitting there in church listening to the bride and groom say their vows. And when the bride and her father dance because I think of my father and I. We are so close so hits me in that special way.
