When you ordered your dress

Did it come in 2 months before your wedding or the time frame they told you it would take to make the dress?

I was told my dress would take 6-9 months to make but, it wouldnt come in til 2 months before my wedding date. I ordered it the last week of June so the last it should come in is March but, the 2 month mark before my wedding is June. So do they do this so the dress isnt sitting around and taking up space? Can I request it to come in when it actually should be ready?

HHMMMM Maybe I should make a call on Monday when they open again and let them know I want it in when it should actually come in.

mine came a year in advance....the wrote 2007 instead of 2008

Mine came in within the time frame they said.... ordered it end of November and it came in Mid April.... I went in to see it and roughly try it on and finished paying for it.... 1st official fitting is 2 months prior (next month for me)

what they do is wait to order it if you come in before the time it takes to make the dress and be here at the 2 month mark. My dress came in 2 months before the wedding exactly, im sure they waited to order it or the designer waited until they had to make it

I keep seeing girls that have gotten there dress months before and it is making me nervous, that I did the wrong thing.

honestly dont worry bc you dont need it months before...you wont start fitting until 6-8 weeks the most. So either it sits in storage at the bridal shop or sits in your house...its better off that it will arrive closer to when you will start fittings.

I was told 6-9 months too and it took 10! I ordered in mid august, the dress came in the end of june. In the end, it's all working out but the 9th, 10th month was really stressful! I wish I had told them an earlier wedding date to have saved myself some stress

I ordered mine in November 2007 and it came in early May. They said 6 months and they were right on the money.

They told me that and my dress was there first week of July and my wedding is Nov...I think they tell you 2 mthsto be safe but itll prob be there earlier

Mine cae in when it was supposed to but i didnt start fittngs til the first week of June and i was married june 28th.

Mine came 3 months before my wedding. I ordered it the end of January and it came in the mid of June!!!! I am going to have the alterations done in a few weeks!

You don't want it to come in too early and be sitting around getting 'old'. Fabric may change color over time (it may not too), ivories become more yellow, more risk the longer it sits around... so I would do whatever your bridal salon suggests. Mine came 3 months before my wedding and my first fitting was in June and I have 2-3 fittings in August.
