When you sent out your invites, did you...

just put a whole lot of them in the mailbox, or did you rubber band them, or did you bring them to the post office?

I put mine in a box and brought them directly to the post office.?

bring them to the post office and have them hand stamped or hand cancelled (whichever they call it) this way they don't go thru the machine and get crumpled.

I brought mine to the post office in a shopping bag and they were all loose in there. I gave them to the clerk so she could seperate them behind the counter.

How are you doing?? Getting excited??

I haven't done it yet but I KNOW Fmil will be taking them to the post office.....

What do you mean hand stamped, I put my own stamps on them?

I took mine to the post office and had them hand cancelled.

I took mine to the PO too and had them hand cancelled. We didn't have a flat invitation so if they ran them through a machine to be cancelled, the envelope could have ripped. I am glad I did it that way because when people got them, they were in good shape.

you need to put your own stamps on the invitations. Hand stamping them at the post office is so they don't get processed thru their machines and have black lines all over them and possibly get messed up in the machine. some post offices will allow you to do this yourself there. some will tell you they will do it later on. i opted to do it myself so i knew it was doen when i walked out of there.
