When you try on shoes.....

Do you use the little ped thingies? I do. I couldn't imagine putting my clammy foot into a shoe and then putting it back in the box on the shelf, only to have some poor unsuspecting woman buy the shoes and then wear them

I'm not going to lie, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. when I try shoes, I always buy them. otherwise, I won't try them.
I know did because I worked in retail for a few years and It would always bother me to bring shoes out and people wouldn't even buy.
Thank god, I don't do that no more.

Are you related to my husband?

I have to admit, sometimes yes, sometimes no. If it is a shoe I would wear with socks or hose, then I use the peds. However, if I am buying sandals or thongs, or shoes I would not be wearing socks with, then I want to see how they fit without peds or socks. Gross? Maybe, but I would wear them around the house without socks and if they didn't fit right, return them, so the way I see it, the shoe is getting much less foot exposure if I just try them in the store without peds.

But the real question is: Am I a freak to put this much thought into this post?

I always use peds. Feet are gross. I hate renting shoes of any kind - skates or bowling shoes. I own my own hockey skates and if I ever DO go bowling, I request the spray and spray the shoes myself. OCD? Maybe. But foot fungus is nasty.

I pick the bowling shoes up by the laces! I wouldn't ever touch the insides of those things
I'm considering buying my own pair!

P.S. DH and I went bowling yesterday and some idiot girl was bowling in bare feet!!!! Ahhhh!!!!! The germs!

I always use peds...except maybe when I try on really casual sandals, like Naots. It never occurred to me that people don't use them! I like the idea of cleaning them with antibac stuff.
