It looks like very few read it, even though a lot voted for it. I'm almost finished, but just wondering if it's worth discussing if only a couple of us read it?

I was wondering the same thing - I didn't vote for it though.....I want to read something a little more upbeat and less depressing!

I voted for it. I just got it from the library Friday since it was out until then. I hope to finish it today, but it all depends on how the baby is behaving. I read the last two books, but I just watched the discussion and did not participate. I thought I would do the same thing this month, but I guess there won't be one.

I wasn't able to get the book. If you have read the book, go ahead with the discussion. Only two people are needed for a discussion.
I think this book has thought us all a lesson. Only the people who are actually a part of the bookclub should be allowed to vote. There were many people who voted for this book, and they are not here now.

I dont get it either...the Bell Jar won by an overwelming majority and so few people have read it. What is that all about? Why would so many people vote for it but not read it? Weird!
Ive been away but has a new book been decided?

As stated above, I believe some changes are needed for the book club.
