We keep getting lost in the crowd! Just wondering what everyone's been up to. How are the plans going? We TRIED to book limos last week, but are still unsure. My bridal party is pretty large, the lincolns are pretty expensive, the caddy's are too small and I'm not completely sold on the Ford Excursion! UGH! What are you girls doing with transportation.
I was supposed to have my florist appt. on Sunday, but she was sick and cancelled, so that's on the back burner now. Other than that, my bridesmaids have all been measured and the dresses are ordered. I think that's all for me! What about you girls?

I'm here!!! Unfortunately work has been killing me lately, so I haven't had time to post I haven't done anything wedding-related in such a long time, I'm really starting to miss it!!
Which limo companies did you look at? That's where I'm stuck - none of them seem to have spotless records

I'm stuck on limos too, I'm afraid they will not show up or something! Anyway, I have checked out Royalty and Alexis so far. Alexis is pretty good, BUT pretty expensive. I'm going to check out Coachman Limousines. So we'll see. I have posted a question on the vendor board but received nothing back yet. I'd like to see some different quotes ya know? Anyway, I'm not sure where the rest of us are! Sometimes I feel all alone here!

Hi Girls! My planning has kind of stalled lately too. I had that stomach virus that's been going around. YUK. What a nightmare. Anyway, I'm meeting with one more DJ this week (Spin Around Sound), and hopefully by the end of the week that will be one more thing off the list! I haven't looked at limo companies yet, but I want to get a small bus for the bridal party. I think it would be fun for them, and more comfortable than a limo since there's 11 of them. Flowers will be next (I'm thinking about Burton's).

looks like we're all in the same boat! i still have to... order bm dresses (from netbride) book limo (i won a free limo at the last GTG) veil & shoes invites are on order (debi at blooming quill- she is amazing!)
i think the rest (programs, favors, trials, etc.) can be finished up over the summer. i start a new job a week from today & we're in the process of moving to jersey & buying our first home. honestly, the wedding is the last thing on my mind right now. thank god we've got all the big stuff done!
trish- we booked spin around sound & we're really happy with tom so far. i would highly recommend flower michele in huntington. reasonable prices & stunning work!

Hello Ladies! I was wondering what happened to the post!
I too have been a big slacker when it comes to the Wedding planning. Let's see....We booked Get in Tune. Glen was awesome and we went & saw them at a show case. So that's done. Still working out the HM to Hawaii :)We got the STD's printed now we just have to send them out.
Next is Videographer and I need to find shoes and finalize BM dresses. FH's mom is going to do all the flowers. I might need a florist for a few things. I too won limo at the GTG I have to call & book.
Is anyone up for an October Bride GTG soon? I think that would be fun!

Well I have been dealing with my ex-MOH drama. I can't tell you how pyscho this girl is and I can't believe it took me this long to notice it. Thursday she called my job 3 times and threatened to get me in trouble ( i work in retail), called my cell 4 times and made threats about the wedding and job and then emailed me 2 times and said some really awful things and comments about my family. Also had one of her friend email me and yesterday we got 6 prank phone calls coming from a area code 646 number. good thing is it made me lose 3lbs by hardly eating because my stomach was in knots all weekend.
Other than that we are halfway done with Pre-cana. I just got our invitations on Wed. I go on the 22nd to order my dress and the BM's. We booked our last vendor 2 weeks ago our dj ( starlight express). Now I just wait because I don't think I can do anything else yet. Good to hear from everyone. where is mv1003?

Anyway, OCT, I'm glad this 'friend' of yours is out of your life! Just ignore those calls and messages, apparantly there is something mentally wrong with her. Obviously someone who is not happy with themselves, ya know?
You just reminded me! I have something I need to pick up at my Church! My mind has been a little distracted lately and I totally forgot! It's actually my registration forms for Pre-Cana!!! Thanks!

I have my reception hall, my dress and the honeymoon. We are going to order the BM this Saturday, and I have most of the BM gifts. It seems like I am doing everything out of order, I had the BM dresses pickes out before I got my dress, and the BM gifts before the DJ or photographer. On top of all of this, I am a CPA going into busy season, and we just got approval from the town of islip to build a house on a pice of land we are going to buy. I am being to feel overwhelmed, and I am having a hard time picking a photographer. Hopefully we will come to a decision soon.

A little at a time, that's all you can do. How nice to have a new house built! That's exciting!!
I know everything all at once becomes overwhelming, but in the end it'll all be worth it. Maybe we can help with photographers! Have you checked anyone out yet??

Yes, I'm very happy with GIT...I have heard such wonderful things about them & they are one of the preferred vendors at my hall so we got a discount..yay!
Not to sure about Video. We haven't really even began to think about it. I have heard wonderful things about that place though. I will def give them a call when we are ready!

we moved back in with my parents in June, since we figured it would start being built in the summer, little did we know it would take so long to get a varience. The reason I wanted to get married in October is because I didn't want to be in my house for a year, if we waited until Oct 2004. I like the fact that the wedding and the house will be new at the same time.
I have looked at JoArt photographer, VIP, Park Ave, Patken, and ADA so far, but the prices are all over the place, and then I heard some negative things about ADA on the site, and a neighbor wasn't happy with Park Ave. So I am going to meet with Viewpoint tomorrow and try to set up an appointment with Marco, in Holbrook for next week, I just don't want to be unhappy with my pictures, since I will have to look at them forever.

Hello! Another October Bride here. I think I have accomplished a lot this past month(esspecially since I had to find a new hall, block rooms at a different hotel & change my STD info.). I booked my photographer(Visual Concepts) & music for my ceremony(King's Brass). I am planning on getting my DJ in the next 2 weeks. Ohh, I almost forgot most exciting of all I met with a designer who is doing sketches of my dream dress right now!!! Just think 8 months & we will be the ones getting married.

I'm going to use roses. The girls dresses are cranberry so probably falls colors..berry, orange, yellow, browish.
The tables are long so we are going to get taupiaires (sp? little pots with long roses tied together) and put 5 on each table with roses petals and candles inbetween. They aren't going to be all together..they will be placed all down the table in a row. These are going to be the favors for each couple as well. :)
FH mother is a real Martha so she is going to do all the flower arrangments & BK's. We will need a florist for a few things.
What are you thinking about?

What am I thinking about? LOL - I don't know! I wasn't sure if I wanted to do such AUTUMNY colors, but now I think I'm changing my mind!! What kind of bo-k will you have?? My tables are also long and narrow, which scares me a little... ugh, the stress is building up again!

Lauren, I'll try and post some of the bo-k I was looking at.. this one would look so pretty with your red color dresses... I'm doing all roses- multicolor, that's of today anyway. Lord knows this girl can change her mind 20 times by tomorrow!
Oh my- that BM doesn't sound like a friend at all. It's so sad that weddings bring out the worst in people, but they also bring out the best in people sometimes- try to focus on the good people who surround you and know that this girl is not worthy of your friendship.
An Oct. gtg would be fabulous!!! Any suggestions as to when?
edited to say- just the roses Lauren, not the things in the middle, don't know what that is? cute, but not what I meant w/ your colors
