Where are you getting married?

Where are you getting married?

I would love to hear all of the great places you have booked.

I would love to have a waterfront location, a city lights view or a manhattan location.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm a Swan Club bride too, and the place is great.. you kinda get a 2 for 1, in that, there is alot of water surrounding you, but also, the property has a great 'garden feel' too it.

My cousin had her wedding there two years ago, and it was wonderful. My other cousin and his fiance are having their wedding there this coming July..and they love it for the same reason I did..

He wanted somewhere near water, She wants a ' garden wedding', so it fits the bill perfectly and the prices are very reasonable..

congrats... so exciting

I wanted on the water too... i am having it at Land's End in Sayville on the gReat South Bay....

in the city it is twice the price and Land's End seems very expensive when you are on here...

Chelsie Pier is on the water in Manhatten and it is about $300 pp... don't know how much you aer spending

just a suggestion

i booked Land's End in August for an April wedding so it is tight

Re: Where are you getting married?

I'm having both my ceremony and reception at the Riviera in MassapequaRiviera

The Riviera is right on the water and it only has 1 wedding at a time which is great. It works best if your guest list is under 150. You should try and visit it on a day when they are setting it up for a wedding. Michelle one of their Banquet Managers is great to work with. The view in person is so much more impressive than the website. Good luck.

there are a few places in Jersey City (downtown) which face lower Manhattan and they are on the water. And are prob MUCH cheaper than Manhattan $$s.....and have a perfect view of the city!

i have to agree that the location of the Crescent Club in Bayville is AMAZING, however i wasn't too impressed w/ the inside cocktail or reception room. they are renovating, so make sure to visit after renovations are complete. i know they are somewhat pricey now and i AM SURE they will be even more after the renovations. it is however, i BEAUTIFUL location.

I am a BIG fan of the water and unique ideas, so we're getting married on a Yacht. It leaves from Flushing Queens and it sails around Manhattan and comes back. It's a brand new Yacht, only a year old and it's called the Cloud Nine. How cute!

Anyway, that's always a good idea... it's like your guests get a treat as well.

Re: Where are you getting married?

WOW So many options! How do you choose? I've been trying to get my fiance to make a guest list, but he just doesn't understand why I need this right away!! *lol*

My parents said they want to contribute, but I don't know what that means. I need a better answer, but my mother is being very allusive!

***misstene*** is there a limit on the number of guests? My coworker was invited to a boat wedding without his wife, because there was not enought room. How many people does Cloud 9 hold comfortably?

To all the swanclub brides: I have been to a few events there and it is GORGEOUS! and I thought the food was very good too!

I'll second that - two of my cousins got married at the Waters Edge - they loved it - and i absolutely loved the view. I would get married there if I could afford it.
