I am getting married in a church. Me and FI are both Catholic but not really practicing, we havent gone to church in at least 10 years. But for our families, we are having the ceremony in the church. But so I dont feel so bad about it, we arent doing a mass.

We're getting married in FH's church ..he is Greek Orthodox, I am Catholic. (VERY lapsed Catholic, mind you)
Since it was very important to him, and not so much to me .. the decision where to marry was simple for us

My FI and I are both very spiritual, and neither believe we have to be in a church when we are married. (We both have traumatizing experiences with organized religion...as many do.)
We will be in God's greatest church...nature!
Parents, who are very religious, had no problem with it, as long as a pastor weds us. Hurrah!
