Ok originally i was going to take her to RK bridal which is where I got bm dresses and JR bridesmaid but not sure anymore. They have a HUGE selection for bm's but i felt fg selection was a bit smaller. I did look through their catalogs for fg dresses but a few of the designers i saw online and liked i didnt see at rk, unlike the bm dresses which carries most designers i guess their selection is not as big for fg. Like i said they had alot you can order in but i dont want to bring her there to order it and then wait until it comes in and go back after its in the store.
Where are you getting FG dress? I live in queens and so does the FG so please no suffolk county, it would be too much to drive a 2 year old all the way there to get a dress and come back, especially if we have to go back and pick it up.
So queens, nassau(close to queens border) and the city
TIA

Roosevelt you can check out Bloomies, Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenny... they all have nice selections around Easter time.
You could also try My Daughter's Wedding II in Manhasset on Middleneck Road. (don't quote me on the exact location.. i'm probably pulling that out of my butt, but they have a very very cute selection of FG dresses) (maybe a little priceri than other places, but not bad) I'll get the address for you if you're interested.
The wedding plaza in Floral Park has nice FG dresses, and I was just in there the other weekend to pick up proofs and saw them working with a family to pick out a dress. they seemed nice enough as far as customr service goes.
David's Bridal at the Source Mall had nice customer service if you're worried about the one on Northern Blvd.
Good luck!
i heard alot about 'my daughters wedding' i think i might try that place, thank you. I remember looking up MOB gowns and one place suggested that one so i can get the address thanks.
See the only thing im afraid of with easter dresses is it being too frilly and all that...i dont want tulle, or flowers on the dress hahaha.
If anyone knows where they sell joan calabrese FG dresses let me know. Although i think my daughters wedding might have it

I got mine at the David's Bridal on Northern Blvd. Adorable dress, ivory satin bodice and tulle bottom with a black sash around the waist to match my black BM dresses. I will say that the customer service was AWFUL and I'm so happy I never had to use them for anything else. But it's such a cute dress.
see thats what i was going to ask...Just about everybody says the customer service is horrible at the one on northern boulevard
If you can get it at another David's I would say do so.....don't know where they are. I swear to f-in god denise I was going to go ape $hit in that place, it was the worst, I actually wrote a letter...I know they won't read it, but it gave me satisfaction to call some ppl out since I took down their names. They told me at first that I couldn't even go back to LOOK at the FG dresses if I didn't have an appt. I was on a mission that day so there was no way they were stopping me. I saw the dress online and it was perfect, simple, no beading, no design. That's what I wanted, plain with a sash. So I told them you cannot tell me that I can't LOOK at dresses, thats bull$hit. So I literally just walked past the guy and went to look. He was sitting at a table and I could tell that was his 'post' and he couldn't leave. So I found the dress, in ivory, in 18 mos size, on the rack, got the black sash off the wall and I took it all up to the register. Do you believe they had the balls to tell me that I could not BUY it because I didn't have an appt. I was like W T F?!?!?!?!?!?!?! You mean to tell me you will not take my money, you're turning down a sale because I didn't have an appt. I needed ZERO help from any of you, did it all by myself, didn't ask one single question and you will not take my money?!?!?!?!!?
I swear I'm not a 'scene' maker but I was so pissed so I made such a scene. They folded and 'let' me buy it. Probably just to get me to shut up and leave, but it was the most ridiculous thing I ever encountered. Everyone says why didn't you just walk out....but at the point I was so set on that dress that I was not going to have anyone tell me that I could NOT buy it.
WOW they have issues, some people are ridiculous. I always see that one bc i go to the toys r' us right by it

They're the worst. But like I said, I just loved the dress. Oh, and I saw above that you don't want tulle. The one I posted comes with either a tulle bottom or satin w/organza overlay bottom. So either way, just in case you do find yourself there. I wanted no adornment either, that's why I loved it.
Hey, they never said this $hit was going to be easy right?

Re: where are you getting your flower girl dress
thank you ladies for your suggestions. I wouldve preferred rk bridal bc you can get the FG dress for less through their no frills program so she could've said a decent amount. Maybe ill try there one more time to look at their stuff

Re: where are you getting your flower girl dress
wow she's two? how ADORABLE.
well, if you only have one i would still check out Lord and Taylor then (the one in the city or I guess the ones in LI would have them too). i've been buying my niece's dresses there and they have great little girl dresses.
my niece's have both been FGs twice this year and both dresses were from David's. I don't want to go there for mine because I want something different, but they were like $80-$99 which my sisters were happy about and david's has a good selection. the one in westbury might have better customer service.
i saw a gorgeous one at Burton's when i went several months ago; it was $300
i want to check out my daughter's wedding also, sounds right up my alley. if you go let us know how it is.

it's on 110 in melville. Honestly if you go to Burton's then you can go to walt whitman mall - they have great stores (L&T, bloomies, saks, etc.) and you might be able to kill two birds and look there.

ill ask the mother what she wants to do. I kinda didnt want to go too far past manhasset. I know how young kids get during long drives. She is extremely well behaved but dont want to drag her around and tire her out hahaha.

yeah I hear that. maybe try the great neck place first and L&T in manhasset and if you still don't find something you can try David's and Burton's.

I honestly think it depends where you go. I got my bridesmaid dresses in Davids the one in the source mall in westbury I believe it is. I had no appt. and they were really nice and helpful.

I got this from my bridal store but you can go on the website and find a location near you.
