I know its early for me to start thinking about our honeymoon but i really have no idea where i want to go. where are you girls going?

We have the places we want ALMOST finalized. We will def be on the Mediterranean, (Antalya), Turkiye. From there we will head over to France and then Spain. The only problem is we have to visit these places in about 2 weeks and I feel like thats rushing it. I don't know whether or not to make it 2 places @ one week each or keep it the way it is. Prices won't change because Fh's friends have vacation homes in these areas and we'll be staying there at no cost saving such so much money.
Also.... how long can you wait to actually go on your honeymoon and still be able to call it that? I wish I could just wait until winter break and have a month... but, i dunno. Anyone waiting a bit after their wedding???

Yeppp Greece and Italy is where I would like to go...and I think we are going to spend a few days in Monte Carlo...FH wants to go to Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea...but our hm budget is only going to be like $8000...we are paying for just about everything ourselves!

Yeah, I hear ya about that dollar, the past couple of Euro trips I went on were outrageously expensive for no reason. I stayed at a little Holiday Inn in the middle of NOWHERE Ireland and it was $400 a night. Forget London
Def try to do a package. we saved a lot of $$ doing it that way and we were able to get mostly hilton hotels (which i'm not crazy about anyway) a few other comparable ones where there was no hilton. the radisson chain is nice too.
We're doing Greece/Turkey: Athens/Santorini/Mykonos/Istanbul my travel agent still thinks we can do one more island, Naxos, but I think FH will be happy to do two. whatever you choose will be great.
if you're trying to save some $$$ on the honeymoon do latin american countries. i can give you tons of info. since your wedding is in Feb it's the opposite in south america so their summer is in our winter months. look at chile, brazil, and select other cities depending if you're looking for colonial/beach/resorts/mountains/big city with resorts/vineyards etc....
and whatever you do, it'll be fun b/c it's your Hm and you're in LUV!

we stayed at the Sandals Regency in St. Lucia....LOOOOOOVED it!! it was great not having a budget or having to worry about anything...had a great time!

I am going to Negril, Jamaica.
But if you want my opinion, after vacationing in several Caribbean countries and Mexico, I can tell you that there is something in the air in Cancun. Its like the minute you step out of the plane, you want to ....well you know!
And I am not the only person who has experienced this, its like perfect for honeymooners. Its also pretty affordable, and gorgeous, just dont go during spring break (too many College kids).

hi bride to be's Some of you are looking/planning your honeymoon or already have an idea sort of to where you want to go! The beautiful places usually consist of...bora bora/tahiti, caribbean, europe, maldives and so forth which are all amazing places to be in...but if you want to opt for something a lil different..
I really thought i'd share my honeymoon experience because it was totally amazing, and UNIQUE. Not many people have been to those destinations on here.
Intitally i wanted to do bora bora or the maldives... but FH somehow convinced me not too..so we ended up doing Hong Kong Bali, Indonesia Malaysia Phuket Island, Thailand
I spent 5 days in each place, and had the msot fun in Bali, Hong Kong, and Phuket. Malaysia had the greatest food, but not many tourist sites etc. Hong kong and Malaysia were more touristy places with sites to see, hustle and bustle of NYC. While Bali and Phuket were overly serene and relaxing.
I had the BEST time in BALI. I cant even explain how beautiful the culture, ocean water, beaches and hospitable the people are. Bali is a small island of the coast of Indonesia. We stayed at the Jamahal Resort and Spa in Jimbaran Bay. Totally Private, GORGEOUS villas. 5 star treatment.... Here is the resorts website Jamahal I really just thought they deserve credit! and anyone itnerested in a unique location should definately FM and look in to this under rated place.
In Phuket Island we stayed at Marina Phuket Resort Marina Phukets Website They have individual villa's. The jungle room and oceanview are the best. The resort is situated right on the beach, and again we had the time of our lives. This is also the location were the tsunami came, everything has been rebuilt since. You cant even really tell there was any devastation.
- Anyways, if anyone has any questions feel free to FM me. Im not writing about Hong Kong or Malaysia because those are not the #1 HM spots anyone thinks of. But Hong Kong was fun to shop in, they Built a Disney land there which was cute...

We were thinking Italy, but because the value of the dollar is so low, we decide to go to Mexico and go to Italy on our first anniversary if we are not prego by then.
