Where are you registered?

Where are you registered?

Where are you registered? I do not have super expensive taste and I already own my home and I don't need a LOT of house stuff, which is good because I think I can focus on more fun gifts... but I really don't know where I should look. The whole thing scares me a bit and I know I should be having more fun with this!

Any thoughts?

Re: Where are you registered?

I know someone who is in a similar situation and they are registering at a travel agency to get money towards their honeymoon. Khol's and Macy's or Bed Bath and Beyond are good to get some homey things. Myregistry.com I think you can make a registry of things from different websites

pottery barn too but their stuff is kind of pricy. Luggage is a good think to register for if you don't have!

Amazon ....you can link stuff from any website to your amazon registry...just by adding this cool 'add to registry' link to your tool bar. VERY simple and really awesome.

myregistry - similar to amazon, you just add anything online with the toolbar button & if you're in a store and see something, you can scan it with your phone!

Willams-Sonoma
Pottery Barn
Bed Bath and Beyond

BBB has some great fun stuff that you can add and they are super helpful in the store

I'm using this and it's GREAT! We were able to add some unique things for the house that you can't find at Macy's, etc.

I'm in a similar situation. I wanted to register for honeyfund but apparently by many family members said its tacky. Oh well. Its your wedding and I'm sure if you got money or people bought you stuff to do on a honeymoon you would be happy. I don't think I'm going to have a bridal shower so I think that will elminate that for me.

We registered at BB&B and libertytravelregistry.com

My best friend did it a few years ago and a lot of people thought it was tacky. When you really think about it, it makes perfect sense. The majority of couples are already living together and many already own a home and have most of what they need. We decided to go for it, regardless of what people think. We broke the travel registry gifts into small amounts and in no way expect to have the whole trip paid for.

It's your wedding, you should do what you want. For every person who thinks it's tacky, you'll probably find 2-3 more that think it's a great idea.

Re: Where are you registered?

I'm glad to hear that some couples are opting for a honeymoon fund. I'm thinking about this. I am also thinking about registering for china, I never had any.

I hear that Macy's is great, but the merchandise has a high turnover and that guests will have trouble buying gifts because items get discontinued etc. Any truth to this?

I love the idea of doing amazon, but have you ladies had a lot of people buying off that list? I'm just afraid people won't or they'll see something on there, buy it somewhere else & I'll end up with 5 of something
