Where are you registered and why....

Hi all!

I need to register soon and there are sooo many choices, I am not sure where to go!!!!!! Any advice?

We did Fortunoff, BBB and Macys....I found my plates and pots at Macys but most of my bakeware and electrics and knives and things at Fortunoff and of course my gadgets and little things at BBB....we did all three b/c of the perks you get from each!! Fortunoff you get like 10% for two days of your choice, 10% off bands, 10% off gifts for the party and some more things I can't think of....Macy's you get $$ back in the form of a gift card after your wedding...I think it's like 5% when people buy something off of your registry and 10% when you purchase something with your Macys account...then an extra 10% when you go shopping after!! BBB you get 10% off too I think...not sure

BBB, Sears and Macy's.

BBB was our first choice cause they're everywhere and have alot of great stuff. Sears cause it's the only store(other than Target) that carries the pots and pans we want. And Macy's cause my mom though I was a good idea. We've only actually done BBB so far, but when FH comes down here at the end of the month, we're hitting up Sears and Macy's and finishing our registries.

I did Fortunoff's and Linens-n-Things. I have a great experience so far

right now we're only registered at Bed Bath and Beyond. They have a fantastic return policy (cash back!), are very user friendly, have pretty much everything we want/need, and have locations all over the place, so it will be really easy for people to go there to shop, for those who prefer to actually go to a store rather than buying online.

We're going to add one or two other places.. we haven't picked out dishes, china, flatware, or bedding yet, so we'll see who has stuff that we like. I'd like to do as much as possible at BBB, but I think I may add a place like Pier 1 or Crate and Barrel for some of the more decorative stuff. I also might do Fortunoffs, but I'm just worried that then we won't get any of that stuff because there are much fewer locations so it's hard for people to get to.

I'm registered at Fortunoff, Crate and Barrel and Bed Bath and Beyond. Originally I was going to just do the first two but, I found bedding I loved at BBB and they didn't have it at Fortunoff so I registered there as well.

I'm in the process of moving some things from Fortunoff to BBB because I am thinking more people will go there since it's so convenient and they send out those coupons fairly regularly.

We're registered at Macy's, Fortunoff, Williams-Sonoma and Linens & Things.

Macy's because it's my favorite place to shop and I love the perks.

Fortunoff, because a LI girl has to register at Fortunoff. They also have pieces for our good china that Macy's doesn't carry.

Linens & Things because I made a mistake and thought I was going to BBB.

Williams-Sonoma because there is a Caphalon sauce pan that FH wants desperately and they are the only store that carries it. Besides, I LOVE to bake, so this way I got to register for the good stuff!!!!

Target-because we need all the houseware type stuff they have there.

Pottery Barn-because it's my favorite store.

Fortunoff b/c well, I LOVE that store!

we also registered at B,B&B because we had a lot of OOT guests and also, love those 20% off coupons!

Registered at Honeymoonwishes.com- help pay some costs of the honeymoon why not!?
and BBB for more traditional gifts for those not hip to the website registry.

We are registered at Fortunoff's, Macy's, Crate and Barrel and Honeyluna.com (for our honeymoon registry). We already have most of the stuff we need since we already own our house, so we're hoping people contribute to our honeymoon. The stores all have their benefits:

Fortunoff: they have a 10% completion program, but they let me use one of my coupons when I went to buy my dining room set, so I saved $$ a year before we got married! I've also participated in a lot of the bridal programs and survey and received gift cards from them to use in the store. In fact, I still have $75 to use from accumulated surveys... just deciding what I need right now!

Macy's: First of all, the girls at the Roosevelt Field Mall Macy's are AWESOME. I like their bridal show, too (although I totally missed the one they had last month... had I known about it, I would have gone). They also have a completion program and bridal coupons you can use on different things in their store. The best is the STAR rewards program... another girl here (sorry... I forgot who) described it perfectly. 5% cash back for items purchased off your registy... 10% for items YOU purchase on your Macy's card. I'm ALREADY up to about 270 bucks... and I'm not getting married until November!

Crate and Barrel: I just always love that store. I think they have a completion program. I do have to add to my list... I only have 3 items registered there right now... and one was already purchased! lol.

Honeyluna.com: (I may switch to the one my travel agent uses) I liked their easy website design. Also, I like that my guests can CALL and add $$ to my account if they don't want to do it online. You have to 'buy' their special package to get 'announcements' about their registry, which I didn't purchase. I wish they sent you announcements regardless of which package you get (mine was free, but the guests get charged a 7% service charge). I also wish they were sent a gift card or something to present to the bride (me) when they contribute to the honeymoon.

I'm considering Bed, Bath and Beyond because I love that store, but like I said... we already have so much stuff! I always said I was going to register there when I got married... I just think Fortunoff and Macy's has a better offer for us brides.

the LI one is in Manhasset (if you've never been... Go. You'll LOVE it! Awesome place - especially during Christmas). The one in NYC is awesome, too. (Madison Ave in the 60's... I think there's another one in NYC, too).

Fortunoff's - because we got a coupon from them for a free martini bar during our CH and reception

Williams Sonoma - because I can't get enough of the place!
