I was just wondering, where is everybody taking pictures after their ceremony. We are getting married Aug. 1, and I want to make alternative plans if it rains. (uggghhh the 'R' word) any ideas? The reception is at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho.

Re: Where are you taking pictures?
We're taking pics at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale after our church ceremony. Yuck...I don't even want to THINK about if it rains! If it does, I have no idea where we could go.

We are taking our pics at Old Westbury Gardens. They have indoor spots to take pics in case it rains. They will also refund your money if it rains and you decide not to take pics there, as long as you cancel 3 hours before your time. Check out their website. . . .

Ask your Banquet Manager. I was told we could take pictures in the carriage house a half hour before the coctail hour, so you could probably do the same in the Cottage.
Also, if you are staying in a hotel nearby see if they have an area you can use. Also, ask the photographer.

We are taking pics at the Planting Fields - hopefully it won't rain!
It depends on the reception hall that I still have yet to choose but I might be at the Garden City gazebo too.

We're taking pics at Planting Fields too. Even if it does rain, don't they have some indoor places for pics?

Re: planting fields
They told me that if it rains, there is a covered area outside of the mansion where you can take pics - I think its this area that they are talking about....
