where can dh and i go for a quick, fun , romantic weekend getaway on july 4th??
it has to be within driving distance from nyc. we want somewhere we can either lay by the pool or the beach and a little nightlife, too. thanks.

Jershey shore has tons of beaches. Also, Lake George or Finger Lakes in New York. Newport, Rhode Island.

I've always like Ceasar's Cove Haven in the Poconos. But I think they are wicked expensive for the holiday weekends
How about going to LI wine country and staying at a B&B?
There's Atlantic City or Ocean City Maryland. or how about Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?

We went to Virginia Beach last summer and had a GREAT time. Probably gonna do it again...

Long Beach Island on the jersey shore, Fire Island, Montauk, Newport RI, Cape Cod. So many great places!

There is aslo Mystic CT or Cape May NJ. THey have really nice B&B there.

yeaaa for OC!! ill be there for the 4th!!!!! just came back from staying at mgm grand at foxwoods... very nice place and the pool and jacuzzis are awesome!

Long Beach Island is awesome The Plantation, Daddy O's are all really nice hotel b&b's there.
Lake George. The Sagamore hotel is fabulous.
Shelter Island Sunset Beach is a great hotel.

i recommend a trip to either Montauk or the Jersey Shore. Here in Philly, EVERYONE goes to the Shore every weekend in the summer!

I love Cape Cod too!! Very romantic and lots of fun stuff to do. It's a little further, but definitely worth the trip!!

FH and I went to the Deer Hill Inn in Vermont. They have a pool although it's in the mountains so there is no beach and little nightlife. But it was VERY romantic and relaxing.
