I want one with drawers and shelves underneath, but wasn't sure where to find?
We ordered ours with the cabinets but I think you can find it at any cabinet store or even Home Depot.
If you don't mind traveling to Western Suffolk, south shore, they have several islands at Bare Boards in Bohemia. (On Locust, between Vet's Memorial Hwy and Sunrise - close to Vets.) You can have them painted or stained in several finishes and they have choice on woods too - pine, maple, oak... I've had very good service with them, and they do deliver to Nassau - I think it's free delivery on everything except if you buy the piece unfinished.

Another option - Consumers Kitchens can custom build one and they also have a line of butcher blocks. We have Kraft Maid cabinets and will probably have Consumer's do an Island with Kraft Maid componants - they have lots of great options like a really strong shelf to hold your stand mixer that pulls out and up for use, and recycling bins, knife drawers, etc.
