in Nassau County on the Northshore? Looking for a good bakery but don't want to spend a fortune on a cake. Our reception hall does not provide one. Was thinking no more than $200 for a cake that serves 100 people - is this realistic?

Re: Where can I get a wedding cake
The Milleridge bakery ( in Jericho) does the cakes for their weddings, but also is open to the public, so they could probably do it. I don't know the cost though. I did really like my cake. I'm surprised your hall doesn't have a bakery they reccomend.

Try cardinali bakery in syosset on cold spring road. They are making our wedding cake, but it was included. Im not sure how much they run, but it wont hurt to ask. Let me try to find their website for you.
Dortoni's is great - they are too expensive though I think.

I think St. Honoré or something like that in Port Washington does the cakes for the Harrison House, so maybe you can check them out?

They made our rehearsal dinner cake. The cake itself was good. I had asked for maroon icing and it was brown. So I was a bit sad about that. But other than that it taste good and it was decorated well minus the brown icing.

Thanks - I will check into them as well. Unfortunately all the suggestions so far are around $400 for the basic cake. That sounds a little too much for a cake to me, but must things I think associated with the wedding seems too $$$.

Dortoni in levittown is good but I don't think $200.00 is realistic but you never know
