Re: Where can i get Chuppah poles
Hey! Not offended at all - in fact, I think it's a beautiful thing for anyone to do, especially when you can put flowers on top. They are so gorgeous!
Florists carry the poles (and often plain chuppahs if you want to decorate one). They can also do funky things like branches, metal poles that curve, etc. so you can create your own kind of look. Good luck!

Re: Where can i get Chuppah poles
The chuppah is symbolic, not necessarily a sacramental religous icon or anything. So as a jewish girl, i'm not offended at all. As a matter of fact I think it's lovely. Actually, it's a symbol that any bride can use as it represents (well, different people will give you different interpretations and they're all great) the home, the roof, that you are 'building' together and going to be living under together. It 'encloses' the union of the couple, metaphorically. Does that make any sense at all?????
Anyway, I think whatever you think is beautiful you should def. include. If you and FH are handy, you can try and make it from scratch....maybe get some wood planks from Home Depot.....or some TALL branches..... It'll be so nice.

Just make sure its something that you can transport, since you mentioned that you are handling the flowers on your own --- don't go build something bigger than your vehicles can hold!

I know this sounds 'eye for the obvious,' but did you ask your reception hall? I know we are getting married in a temple, so they would more readily have it, but they have a set and are letting us just use it...give it a try if you haven't already--good luck and enjoy your chuppah!
