we usually stay in Hyannis/West Yarmouth area. We use green harbor resorts on baxter avenue and the price is fair. it is right on the ocean and has a pool as well. ferry to marthas vineyard is very close by.

we recently went to Newport Rhode Island and it was beautiful and totally worth the few hours drive

FH and I booked a vacation next week at Shelter Island for 4 nights and they gave us a 5th night free. ( I think its a special summer promotion if you book during the week) Nothing too crazy since we have a lot of wedding expenses but were only paying 725 for the 5 nights...

We went to Block Island last year and LOVED it. However, not sure how cheap--we stayed in a really nice B&B, but there's a lot of places to stay there.
i'm also looking for somewhere to go for a long weekend next month. May go back to Block Island, but I was thinking of the Hudson Valley--there's loads of B&Bs, lots of antiquing, gorgeous historic houses, lots of hiking, etc. Maybe even go all the way to Saratoga. Just have to talk DH into it.

Go upstate to lake George, and we usually stay on Gore Mt. in the summer its cheap and its soooo nice you have your own condo and everything.. its like a 30 min drive to lake george from there, you can go to the top of the mt. and see Vermont and take the gondola...and There's so much to see and do, they have great restaurants, Friends lake inn is our fav. Horseback riding, caves, all the lake stuff, a scenic train.. so romantic too!!! theres also a great adventure!Gore mt. Link Lake George Link

What about the Fingerlakes?
Belhurst Castle is BEAUTIFUL! Ask to stay inthe Vinifera Inn part - it's more modern (and actually less expensive) than the castle part. (It's the same building) The restaurants there are very good, too. There are two in the hotel.
There are tons of vineyards, watersports, etc. It's so beautiful up there!

OMG we go there every year too! We go both in the summer and winter for snowboarding.

when are u looking to go??????? i know this absolutely adorable place up in new hampshire...totally reasonable & includes a whole bunch of stuff! i went there in the winter & the snow was beautiful...but they said it's just as much fun in every season. FM me if u like some info on it
