where can we go to dinner tonight (in the city)

fh said he would come into the city and meet me for dinner this almost never happens (that he offers to come into the city) and it's SO gorgeous today I would love to eat outside. I'll be in the east village right after work but location doesn't matter......

any suggestions? any type of food, I'm just looking for a new place.

LOL! We're eating outside in the East Village tonight!!!

Some suggestions
I Coppi (amazing and a great outdoor garden) Italian but not typical Italian. They have an amazing ragu sauce that I crave.

We're going to The Mermaid Inn which is delish seafood.

What other types of food do you like?

we ate at I Coppi for my friend's birthday - I love that outdoor garden!

why does mermaid inn sound so familiar? Honestly we like everything.... but steak (well, he likes it but I don't). At first I was thinking mexican or spanish, but we would do italian or any type of asian food.

I hope you're using public transportation because there will be MAJOR street closures with the Pope in town.

Good luck!

UES - Amber sushi is delish & has outdoor seating (80th & 3rd)

Frank on 2nd & 5th has a few outdoor seats & is cheap & really good Italian - not too pricey (near Mermaid Inn- which is also great seafood - someone listed above)

There are a few other places on 2nd ave- UES - like Barronda which have outdoors but can get really crowded....

I like East Village- so fun to walk around too with nice weather!!!
