I would like a low-key shower, women only, because the men in my family (except my father) would complain about the high estrogen levels. I don't mind having it in my own apartment. I just don't want my FI's grandmother there - she is absolutely insane and right now is upset with me because I will not allow her to spend the night before my wedding in the same hotel suite I will be in. I can go on and on about her.

I want a women only shower - FH would rather stab himself in the eye than sit through something like that...I just hope my mother doesn't make everyone too crazy...she's already driving my MOH nuts... I hope I don't have to get involed...

Women only - Friday night I really don't want to have to put him through this - I personally would skip it, but tradition holds.
Anyway - I know the date, I picked it with MOH, and its in the party room in my building - but thats all I know

At a house is a good idea R&T because I was rushed at my shower and was not happy about that. It was at a restaurant.

That is what my mom wanted to do but I actually told her I wasnt crazy about the idea, a month before the wedding to expect everyone to show up to something else just seems like alot to ask.
Even thought my MIL made a whole issue of having my shower in a nice restuarant I really like a low key type of thing, like a back yard or something, the wedding is fancy I dont need a fancy shower too i am just happy to have freinds and family there to share it with me

I gave fi the choice and he adamantly refused a co-ed shower. I don't really blame him even though I told him he could register for as much Best Buy and Home Depot stuff as he wanted! Putting his friends and brothers through that would be torture. But if we were to have done that, I would have made it a bar-b-q in the backyard.
Instead, my mom is insisting on a surprise shower out at a restaurant. I have a funny feeling its at the Three Village Inn but she won't tell me. I hate surprises!!!

I would like it in a restaurant b/c my apt is not big enough, and My Dad is too controling for us to do it at his house. Then I would like a Bachelorette party full of fun and drinking !!!!!!

T and anyone else who knows about the Jack & Jill thing. Do you open the gifts at the shower? My cousin wants one and I am I BM so will help with the planning.
PS My Husband says that if he has to sit through the gift opening that her FI will be enrolled in the Mans Hall of Shame .

Ron loved them..
and yes you open the gifts eat and play games..

That sounds like a great idea. My FI would love it. He likes Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and all of those stores more than I do. He is always dragging me in. I had never heard of a co-ed shower before... but I love the idea!

I would like to have mine at okey dokeys or the brickhouse. I would love to have Dale there because I am not good with all the attention on me. I know he said he wouldn't mind staying. But I have a feeling all the ladies will be kicking him out.

I really wanted mine at my dad's house, but it just isn't big enough. I tried seeing if I could cut down the gues list a little, but it just isn't happening. If I could be gaurenteed a nice day, I'd ask them to do it there and have it outside, but, seems no one can do that for me
