How much did it end up costing? Did you have open bar? How many people? Any places you don't recommend? FH and I will be paying for this too so I thought it would help to start figuring out the cost of this now.

I'm having my RD at the Foxhollow in Syosset. The price was $45 (plus tax and tip) per person with open bar and sit down dinner. We are having passed apps, salad, pasta, and choice of 3 entrees. Its like a mini wedding two days before the big wedding.
If your are interested in that area def check out out. My bff had her shower there too and they did a beautiful job.

we're having a luau in fh's backyard. but we're getting waiters, a bartender and all that stuff. his parents are paying though, so I can't help you on the cost. Can't you do something at home or just a sitdown at a retaurant? I think it will be fun to be relaxed and mellow since it's right before the big crazy wedding.

We'll have about 30 people and FH and I won't have the room have it at our place. His parents house is right by the church and it would be ideal, but I know she won't want anyone over because they have no furniture yet for their backroom that they just added to the house. Believe me, it's still 10 months away but they probably still won't have the furniture lol.

we are having ours at the Library Cafe.. its a private room upstairs.. very nice atmosphere and reasonable prices!!

we are having ours at Carosello in Howard Beach - the price is very reasonable for a sit down dinner that includes antipasto, fried calamria, pasta, beer, wine and soda and dessert. i think its like $35 per person

I had about 35 people at BK Sweeneys in Bethpage. It was about $18 pp. No open bar, it was a saturday afternoon. They did an awesome job and the food was really good.

We just did it at the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkama since everyone was out of town and staying there. Unlimited soda, beer and wine. 2 dinner choices, appetizer and dessert. $28 per person. We only had about 35 people.

We are having ours at Tonys DiNapoli in Times Square...they have good party packages ranging from $29.95-$44.95 and then add on options for drinks.

we're having ours at Per Un Angelo, the restaurant in the Jones Beach Hotel in Wantagh. It's a reasonable per person price, which includes family style entrees and unlimited beer and wine.

we had 21 people and i think it was $65 a person +tax...hors d'ouvers and dinner and dessert with full open bar...it was really good @ the new hyde park inn

We used Three Village Inn because we had 40 people, invited 60! MIL insisted we invite everyone! The dinner was fabulous and we had an open bar. We also got 15% off because our RH was also a Lesssings!

We had Our RD at The Oar in Patchogue. A very beautiful place and very yummy food.

we had ours at La Familia in Smithtown I think it was $35 a person.. It was ok, they told us we were the only party and when we showed up there was still another party into the room, so mine didn't start till like 25 mins after it was scheduled, the food was excellent except that it was family style, and they said they would refill the plates, but they never did!! they just took everyone's plates away So some people were still hungry! and then they rushed us out! I don't recommend them, the service they offered was way to rushed, the room was so hot, and they don't have a private room, even though they offer it to you, they told us oh it wont be busy and we wont seat anyone in there, and they did, they even cleared one of 'our' tables when the guests were still there, just up and talking, to give it to dining guests! So stay away from them.
