Where did you all buy your homes or where are you looking?

Where did you all buy your homes or where are you looking?

Just curious, I want to be a homeowner and I don't know very much about Long Island neighborhoods, preferably nassau county but if it's not too far into suffolk county that's ok too.

we are looking to stay in the same general area
Forest Hills, Rego Park, HB,
if we look on LI; it will be around the valley stream area

We will be buying in the west islip area, most likely right after the wedding.

I guess it depends on your budget...nassau county is expensive!!! We bought a townhouse in Plainview, but we got lucky cause its one of the next generation houses where we had to enter a lottery for it...but we won!!! other then that I have no clue how we would afford a nice place in nassu....everything affordable is so old!

we want to stay close to where we live now - in howard beach so we are going to look there and the surrounding areas in about two years
