Where did you buy your curtains/drapes/whatever?

I NEED to get some for the kitchen/LR/bath.. everyone and their momma can practically look into our house through those big bay windows lol..

I'm looking for something long, thick and dramatic.

I got my bedroom & one of the guest bedroom drapes at Fortunoff they are Croscill, my family room drapes are from Linens and Things (I forgot the name) and my kitchen valances I got in Kmart! I was going with plaid and couldnt find plaid ANYWHERE so Kmart it was for me!!

I LOVE Croscill ANYTHING! All of my sheers on my back sliding doors and bedroom are from Fortunoff.

As for the other rooms in the house, we just have blinds. Not many rooms furnished yet! haha!

ETA: My drapes in both my bedroom and family room are thick, don't know about dramatic though, lol. I don't have pics otherwise I'd post some!

ME TOO!! I got the matching drapes, valance that are Croscill from Fortunoffs for my bedroom.. but I want something dramatic and thick for the living room/kit/bath, you know?

I am curious about that store too....I pass it all the time in the car and DH refuses to stop...I don't drive so I can't go by myself yet! But I am working on him....if I fidn out it is really good - I think I can convince him - esp since we are getting our new windows installed this week and will need window treatments for all our windows....

Girls....the Curtain store on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa is great. There prices are competitive. They have tons of curtains, bathroom stuff and pretty knick knacks. I have shopped there as well as at Bed, Bath and Beyond and Linens N Things. BBB and LNT usually have coupuns which is good. THere is also the Marburn Curtain Store on 110 in Huntington. It is not as nice as The Curtain store, but their prices are good. Hope that helps!

I got my stuff at the JC Penney Home Store and did really well there. Prices were good and a really nice selection.

I gotten alot of stuff at Fortunoff, BBB, Linens-n-Things and Target, (believe it or not) is very reasonable for treatments that look like you spent more, but were smart enough not to!

I agree!!!

But also found a great deal at Linens N Things on panel curtains that were $9.99 each .. one of my greatest bargains yet! I love them! (And much better than $129.99 per panel!)

The Curtain Store is great! They have all of these Martha Stewart type women who are very friendly and happy to help you. They make sure you don't forget the little things like tie-backs, swags, etc....
