i bought my dress today and they wanted $95 for an a-line slip with one small layer of crinoline...i thought that was outrageous and was hoping to find it cheaper somewhere else.
where did you get yours?

One of my coworkers got married last year and offered me hers for FREE. She actually has 2 slips. One big one and one smaller one. I would offer you one of them for free, but i dont know which one i'm using yet.
I would just ask former brides on LIW (or someone you know who recently got married) if you could buy it off them. I dont think many brides would be too sentimental over a slip.

i thought of buying it used from another bride but the bridal store said depending on the slip sometimes it doesnt work to the fullest extent it should after one use. she said sometimes the crinoline wont sit the way it should depending on how hard the bride was on her dress

Of course she said that...she's trying to sell a product!!! Slips are something you can get the week before you wedding. See if someone you know how a slip...when your dress comes in, try it on. If it doesnt look right, you can always look around then.

BTW...I just realized that you are getting married after me. I will offer you my hand me down slip for free after my wedding, LOL!

The bridal shop included mine's for free. But, you can check out this ebay link
I bought my slip from David's Bridal. It was like $60 for a full Crinoline Ballgown. I'm selling mine, I only wore it until after the ceremony. You look a lot more petite than I do though.

I bought mine from the bridal shop that I bought my gown from, i bought the fullest slip that they had, it really made my dress look awesome

i was thinking of just buying it from ebay. i just need a simple a-line, with hardly any crinoline because the dress doesnt need to puff out and its already soo much dress..i dont know how im gonna walk lol

if your not looking for a puffy slip, then i would definitely look on ebay and get it cheaper. You can find them really cheap on ebay and take it with you when you go for your first fitting and see how it works-then make your decision if its worth-if you know what i mean
