bottles of wine for favors. i want to do full bottles of wine for favors where did you find them??

I was looking for a peticular brand (foreign) so I actually just went to my local liquor store and negotiated with him for buying them in bulk, I got him down to $6.50ish (I really don't remember exactly) but alot of girls have just dealt direct with the long island vineyards and gotten great deals. You can check Pindar.

What do you consider cheap? What sort of wine do you like? Do you plan on full bottles or half bottles?
We're giving out full bottles of Pindar's Pythagoras as a wedding favor. At the vineyard, it runs in the $14-15 range. At stores, in the $10 range. With the case discount at the store we went to (and we shopped around), it came out to about $8 a bottle.

Even though it seems counterintuitive, you'll actually get a much better deal buying from a wine store instead of direct from the vineyard... Yes, seriously.

The liquor store near National Wholesale Liquidators in West Hempstead on Hempstead Tpke. (I posted the name once before, but it's escaping me)
Bargain Fine Wines and Liquors on Sunrise and Merrick in Rockville Centre.
And the best price we got was from Park Avenue Wine Shop in Long Beach. They gave the best case discount.

I brought 14 cases of Pindar Autumn Gold Wine (full bottles) for $4.49 per bottle from The Wine Factory (Pequa Wine) in Massapequa. The bottle usually sells for about $7.00.

not too sure, but the NYC store does. they have a whole seperate liquor store next door.

None on the Island do, becaue they need liquor licenses. Go on line and see if the Yonkers or the Connecticut stores sell wine.
