Re: Where did you get your carpet??
We used Empire Carpet (the ones that advertise on TV that they come to your house and lay the carpet the next day)
We've had it for almost a year and no problems yet!

Empire came to my house yesterday for a free estimate and they quoted us a lot of money

Re: Where did you get your carpet??
When we looked at similar carpet at a few other stores, Empire was actually a little cheaper. But maybe they were running a different promotion then.

Re: Where did you get your carpet??
Actually ABC Carpet is having a warehouse sale until Saturday and they have tons of carpets. I think it's only the one in South Hackensack, NJ which is under 10 miles from the Lincoln Tunnel.
Maybe the other stores are also participating but I'm not sure.
Also the Ethan Allen Warehouse Sale is coming up as well also in NJ but I'm not sure if they have carpets.
ETA: Sorry I though t you were talking about area rugs

We got our nubby berber at Montauk Rug and Carpet. It was a remnant (huge remnant) and so much less $$. There was enough for us to do 2 bedrooms, the small hall upstairs and the big staircase (2 small landings).
