So I've decided that I should start looking at gowns. I did some trying on at David's Bridal and liked 2 dresses, but I hear that their service leaves a lot to be desired. Any advice on where to go wedding gown shopping?

I purchased my dress from Bridal Suite in Centereach. Everyone there is extremely helpful and very attentive.
As for Bridal Reflections in Dix Hills, I've personally had an awful experience in a dress I was fitted for as a bridesmaid last year, and my friends sister ordered and was fitted for her wedding dress there, and come her wedding day the bottom of her wedding gown was never hemmed, it was just pinned!!

I got my gown at Kenneth Pool for Amsale on Madison Avenue. I cannot recommend them enough (though since I just bought the dress I don't have it in my possession yet!)

I got mine from my grandma. :) But I went dress shopping with my friends. www.topbutton.com lists sample sales if you are interested in those. My sister got ehr dress at bergdorff Goodmans and they had a good selection. I also went to Priscilla of Boston with my friend and they had a lot of dresses there!

I purchased mine from Davids Bridal but it was at a store in CT the service there has been excellent I also dealt w/them for a bm dress last year & ended up with the same consultant. unfortuately I been hearing that their reputation isnt so great anymore (sorry to hear) I truly believe it is the location of where you go maybe some stores just arent so great anyway dont get discouraged and good luck to wherever you end up searching!

I went to Davids Bridal in Westbury. I worked with Luana. She was very nice and very helpful. When I went in with the girls to check out their dresses she came right over to help us.
