Where did you get your invitations

Hello ladies I am helping out my friend. I had tons of invitation books when I was engaged but I threw them all out I am totally brain dead on the good invitation places.

Please list websites that you know of or where you got your wedding invitations.

I just did searches on yahoo for 'discount wedding invitations' Most places had the same stuff. I ordered them from Rebecca from Favorite Things Invitations (vendor on board) She offered the same discount that I found online for my invites, plus personalized attention. See my review on BRB,

i went to party city once i decided on the style. They have a lot of books to choose from and the price was better than anywhere else i looked.

Gail @ Simply Elegant is a vendor on this board. She had so many books and prices to choose from.

I didn't go to a website because I couldn't see the product first hand...I went to a small shop in Port Jefferson Station called 'And I Quote' they specialize in invites and paper goods, and unique gifts for weddings, showers, new babies, etc.

I 2nd Rebecca from Favorite Things. I am having mine custom made and she really takes the time to sit with you and go over ideas. I just love her!

Rebecca spend almost 2 hours with my mom and I discussing color, font and wording. I can't imagine how much time she would have spent with us if I didn't already have my invite picked out.

oh thanks ladies

I think all my wedding planning information has vanished from my brain. I can't even remember where I got my own invitations.

I will definately look into these. I am paying for her invitations as a gift.

Another question
I have seen a wedding invitation with the couple's picture on it. Does anyone know where you can get that done?

I think there are different invite companies that have them. You should FM Rebecca, she'll let you kow.

I got my STD's from Lion in the Sun and I plan on using them for my invites - they were AMAZING to work with - they have a much larger selection than any other place I looked at on the island. They were very patient - I went with my parents - who were paying and wanted something VERY traditional and talked them into the invite that I wanted!!!!

I know I saw invites with photos in some of the books that I looked at there. I'm sure if you ask them they will know which books to show you - they are VERY nice and very helpful to work with
