I dont´know if this place still exists but I used to work in a Shoe store called Michaels. It in the lake success shopping center that is close to the Queens/Nassau border. I believe that they died shoes and the people that worked there were super nice and really acommodating. But I´m talking about years and years ago so I´m not sure if it´s still there.
They also recommended people to a place called Sandy´s shoes. But i´m not sure of their exact location.

the bridal shoe boutique on old country road down by best buy. if you buy ur shoes there the dying is free but i didnt buy there so the dying was $25

I went to Da Bar shoes on Grand avenue and they came out great only $20 since i didnt buy my shoes there.
