This is what I want to do, so I don't need a TON of them. I'm looking for pink rose petals. Where did you get them and how much did you pay for how many?
Oh, and how many petals do you think I would need for just the hurricane glass... not aroudn the outside...
Try Tributes floral! They are a new vendor since Monday! I ordered sample petals from them and they are so real!! Service was fast! Ordered Sat, got on Tuesday! They have many colors too! If you buy them throuigh this website they are selling them for 1000 petals for 22.50! In my opinion they are much better than the quality of Michaels! They did not have the netted petals that most come with!

Michael's and AC Moore has them, but the price can add up. I saw them on ebay and the price was great! definately Ebay. they come in wholesale lots

I got mine at AC Moore. I don't remember how much they were, but they were not expensive, either $2 or $4 a box. Those I ended up just sprinkling around the outside.
But, for inside the hurricane, I actually bought silk assembled flowers instead to save money. I bought hydrangea stalks (for lack of a better term-I don't know what to call them) and them pulled them apart. Turns out that because the stems are plastic they're jointed and the flower bunches pull right out of the branches at several different places so you can make them as short as you like. Anyway, it was cheaper and easier to work with because I got more volume out of placing a couple of bunches of flowers inside and they stood up better than I would've if I tried to fill it with loose petals. I don't know if this makes any sense without being able to see it, but I figured I would share it as a suggestion. I'm not sure without looking around the store what type of flower you could use if it has to be pink

Yes, I saw ebay had them, but don't know how many I would need? Does anyone know how many they think I wuold need to fill the bottom of te hurricane glass around the candle, just like the picture?

I just called there and ordered a few samples... what a great site!!! THe woman on the phone is so sweet too!!! She lives literally almost around the corner so when I go to order, I can just pick it up instead of paying for shipping!

Yes, but slightly different. Everything is mainly the same, except no rose petals around hte outside base. I'm using a lace doily and putting three pink bows around the base. It was so victorian and girly! I loved it!!!

Definitely look at ebay.com. I order all my silk petals from there. I am doing a centerpiece like that as well. I already ordered mine for my centerpiece. I got like 2,000 for 16.99 from and auction.
