There is a place called In Cahoots on Union Turnpike and Lakeville Road. We had a double mat glass and frame and it ran us a lil less than $200 after tax - I thought it would have been much more. I just brought it in today and I Am hoping to have it by our anniversary. Im psyched about it.

Re: Where did you guys frame your Ketubahs?
Rogers framing in E. Northport. Prob. not far for you. Across from Gold's gym on Larkfield Rd. I had my diplomas done there years ago, too. The original owner sold the business but I still like their service. link to their site and 15% off coupon!!!

Liza, I am curious to know the wording on your ketubah as I have never seen an interfaith ketubah before.

Decor Art and Frame, on Old Country Road, in the same shopping center with Red lobster right off the Meadowbrook. They have 50% off frames. I paid $300 for mine b/c I ordered museum glass which was an extra $100.

It is treated glass. It has anti-reflective qualities as well as UV protection. My framer siad that unless you plan on having your ketubah in an area that will be in direct sunlight, regular glass is fine. For us is was hard to predict where we will put it when we buy a home. Right now, our will be in a common area. It may be in a bedroom someday. Our bedroom now has awkward wall space and it wouldnt look good there. Besides, its pretty and I want people to see it. Nobody will see it in a bedroom.

I think it would look best in a hallway, which probably wouldn't have direct sunlight. I don't want it in the bedroom either.

I vote for living room in your apt!!!! Mine is on a wall that is connected to the living room, but it's more of a spot where the dining room transitions into the living room. People notice it and read it all the time. DH's uncle said he has not seen a ketubah on display in years. Now he thinks we are such great Jews (not that it's about scoring points with him, but he was all impressed that we displayed it).
ETA: Mine has a non-glare glass of some sort. We were offered glass in three different price ranges. We went with the middle range. We picked the same thing my diplomas have, b/c I am still happy with them after a long time.
