We had ours at a hall - TGIF Sounds & Sights in farmingville and there was approx. 90 people. FH and I both agree if we could do it again we would of definatley had a backyard BBQ!

We were thinking of having our engagement party at the Bavarian Inn this upcoming spring/ summer. How was the food? They are giving us a very good deal. About 60 people.

We had about 60 people at an Italian Restaurant in East Meadow with a private room above it. There was a good size dance floor so we hired a DJ. We had a great time!

We had ours at Southhaven park in Shirely. Oh it was wonderful. It was a BBQ and on the most beautiful day in june thank goodness! It was so much fun! Our guest had a great time too. Especially the kids, we were right next to the play ground!

We had mine in the backyard of my parent's house and it was a great day with great weather. We rented a tent and it was a lot of work setting up but worth it to me. I wanted the e-party to be more casual and I knew my shower would be in a restaurant and didnt want to have the same feel at both. We had 60 people there.

We live on LI, but we actually had our Engagement Party at one of our FAVORITE restaurants in the Bronx! Frankie and Johnnie's - The Pine! I used to go there after Yankee games as a kid. This is where my FH asked my dad for his blessing, and THAT night we spontaneously booked our E-party. We ended up having around 100 people!! It was the PERFECT location because it was in the center of everyone coming from LI, SI, Manhattan, NJ, PA, CT, etc. It was a PERFECT day in August. The place even has a beautiful patio outside. And the food... well, people are STILL talking about how WONDERFUL it was!!! The room was GREAT - lots of dancing!! I would recommend it to ANYONE!! Everyone was so happy with how fast it took them to get there! Here are some pics from our E-party:
