Im looking to have me ring appraised so that i can get jewerly insurance.
Would anyone know where i can go to do that? I live in Suffolk Cty.

I got my ring appraised at a place in Uniondale on the Hempstead Turnpike. She was great, she a certified Gemogolist.(I THINK I SPELLED THAT WRONG). Anyway, I have the phone number somewhere, I will see if I can find it for you.
I was told to go to a place in Roosevelt field mall by the bloomingdale entrance where they valet cars but upstairs... i havent gone yet either !!!

Go to the jewelery judge in Garden City...he is the most qualified gemologist appraiser in New York State.

It doesn't cost that much...they go by carat size...mine is a 2.02 carat and it cost a little over $200. Hope that helps.

I haven't gotten mine appraised yet either but FH and I are going back to where he got the ring (Rocky Point Jewelers). I'm in no rush though since it has my mother's diamond and it is covered under her insurance but I'm trying to make an appt. ASAP. Too bad they only do it on Saturdays, it takes forever to find availability.

i went to the Jewelry Judge he is great for my ring it was $170 to get appraised i have a 2.78 carts

I'm sorry...I meant they charge by the carat weight of the center stone only, not the the entire ring. That's why they charged me $200 for a 2.02 carat center stone...the total weight was close to 3. That's the most they charge though, any larger of a stone and it's still $200. It's DEF worth it to go there. They are awesome!!!

No...you're supposed to go every couple of years...just because of inflation and the prices of diamonds go up.

Macy's 34th Street. (He did not purchase it there, they have an appraisal dept.)
I sell insurance, so that is something I did not mess with. My FH had it appraised right away, so as soon as it went on my finger I had it insured!!
